Creo 12, new problem when changing the curve contour

Hello Creo 12 users,


I’ve recently been having a problem with creating curves.


When I go to Options for the curves and adjust the points, the curve jumps back to a different shape after I click OK.  It looks as though the points aren’t being saved.


I’ve attached a video.

Does anyone recognise this problem and have a solution?

Looks like this is fixed in 12.4.5.0 and 13.4.1.0.

Hello Community,
Just a quick update.

At first, we updated Creo last month from Creo 8 to Creo 12.

I’ve discovered that the problem only occurs with curves created in Creo 12.

If I open an old Creo 8 model and redefine a curve, there are no issues. However, if I create a new curve in the old Creo 8 model using Creo 12, the problem arises.


The same applies to Creo 8 models that I’ve saved under a new name. Redefining (Creo 8) curves works fine, but creating new (Creo 12) curves causes problems.

I think you should file a case with ptc and report as a bug.

      We had a very similar (probably the same issue) with Creo Parametric 12. The user ended up creating the curve with some other methods. I never did open a case but should have.

          Looks like this is fixed in 12.4.5.0 and 13.4.1.0.

            Hello Rany,

            It seems that the problem has not yet been resolved in Creo version 12.4.5.0.

            If I create a curve and do not add any endconditions, no problems occur.

            However, if I add the ‘Tangential’ endconditions and select one axis at a time, the curve becomes unstable and changes shape every time I click ‘OK’.

            The issue may have been resolved in version 13.4.1.0, but I do not currently have access to that version.

            Hi all,

            I got the following message from the support team:

            “I am pleased to inform you that R&D has resolved this issue, and the fix is planned for inclusion in the following releases:

            • Creo Parametric 12.4.6.0

            • Creo Parametric 13.4.3.0

            Creo Parametric 12.4.6.0 is currently expected to be available around November”

            So it seems that they finaly fixed the bug.
