Creo 4 Runs Slow on Dell 5810 and Nvidia P2200

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0, Date code M060 with Dell and Nvidia hardware.

Creo 4 graphics respond slowly while Creo 7 works well on the same machine. Same issue occurs on multiple computers. We have confirmed Creo 4 is using the Nvidia graphics card. I could not find recommended settings from PTC or Nvidia. Need advice regarding Creo & Nvidia settings to improve Creo 4 usability.

The computers are Dell Precision 5810 with Nvidia P2200 graphics. The systems are not reporting any error messages, just acting very slow with Creo 4.

    Remove all your config.pro/config.sup and .ui files and retry. If it seems to be faster, then the problem is in your custom settings.

    If not:

    add the config.pro option graphics win32_gdi and see if that improves speed. If so, then you have a graphics card issue. Remove the option and try different graphics card drivers.

      Verify that you are using a certified ISV driver for the GPU. These are generally available from the computer manufacturer (Dell). The driver can have an effect on performance.
