Question

Creo 9 auto_add_remove

Hello !

I run Creo 9.0.12.0 and I set the config.pro option auto_add_remove to yes. However, it looks like the option is not applied by Creo. No matter what side I move the extrusion arrow, I still have to select “Remove Material” to, well, remove material.

Any insight here, please ? Google found nothing so far.

Thanks !

The sketch needs to be on a surface, and the sketch must also be entirely on the surface.  If you flip the direction, it should change to remove.

There is always more to learn.

Thank @kdirth, my sketch is entirely on a surface and still, Creo does not detect the removal

I only have access to creo 7 and 13.  It works correctly in both for me.

As @tbraxton said, it only works with the initial feature creation.

Check to make sure the option is still set to yes.  Unless you save the setting to your config file, it will reset when you restart Creo.

Limitations: This option applies only during the initial feature creation; it does not affect editing the definition of previously created features.
