Creo Advanced Assembly and Expert Machine Set

Hello,

I have a user who we recently installed a new license for to his machine. He went from a floating to a locked license and now the advanced assembly set and expert machine set don't function. When he opens creo he gets a license warning stating features not obtained: Advanced_assembly_set and Expert-Machine_set. We've checked the license file and those modules are listed. Is there a potential compatibility issue here? As he is running creo 8 but the license is for creo 11. Has anyone else ran into this issue before? I'll attach the picture of the error also.

I don't know about advanced assembly, since we don't have that, but I do know that the machining modules must be obtained at startup. When installing (or via the reconfigure utility program) one must specify that these modules are to be loaded along with the appropriate "basic" license of Creo. This info is saved in the .psf file used when one starts up Creo.

For example, when I start Creo without the manufacturing stuff, there's a line in the .psf file that looks like:

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_EssentialsI PROE_DesignEss ()

Whereas, if I'm using the manufacturing features, the line looks like this:

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_EssentialsI PROE_DesignEss (10114)

The number in the parentheses is what is used to specify the particular manufacturing license we have.

It'd probably be best if you tried the reconfigure program to have another go at the setup and make sure you have the manufacturing and advanced assembly modules being grabbed.

I would run the command myself and get some screenshots, but to do so I need to submit a request to our IT people to get administrator privileges, etc.
