Creo Schematics wire jumps/bumps for non connected intersection

New Creo Schematics user. I'm trying to add a jump or bump to show cables that are not connected.

Anyone know a procedure on how to go about doing it?

Thank you

From the "Diagramming" menu about 2/3 of the way over from the left there is a section called "Crossovers"... from here click "Add"

The size of the crossover is determined by the grid size so if you want them a different size you'll need to adjust that as well. You'll have to click remove then add again after updating grid size. To do this go to "Tools" -> "Grid" -> "Grid Properties"

Hi,

Interesting topic in general.

We don't use creo schematic but there are lots of general discussions over this topic e.g in Kicad forum (what we use)
https://forum.kicad.info/t/junction-dots-and-hop-overs-comparison-of-programs/26191

Another discussion claims that the hop-overs are "Old"-convention.
https://www.circuitbread.com/textbooks/lessons-in-electric-circuits-volume-v-reference/circuit-schematic-symbols/wires-and-connections

Yet another talk in eevblog...
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/altium/_dodges_-or-_hops_-on-overlapping-wires-in-a-schematic/

I don't believe that Creo schematic have hop-overs (that is my guess, since most other programs don't have them either).

Personally I would not use hop-overs even if the program had that option. Mainly because I have never used them.

  • Starting from PCAD (until -92)... no hop-overs

  • Viewlogic viewDraw.... no hop-overs

  • Custom Cad... no hop-overs

  • Today we are using Kicad... no hop-overs.

The dot is a must in connected wires, though.
