Creo4 Config.pro online_resources_location not working for custom help center location

The config.pro option online_resources_location is not effecting the default Online resources.
As a test I changed this option to:
online_resources_location https://community.ptc.com/

But when I open "File: Help: Online Resources" it still goes to the default location, which I think is:
https://www.ptc.com/en/creo/start-page/wildfire

Am I doing something wrong is is this just broken?  I have never used this before.

 

I am using Creo4 M140.

To summarize the answer:

  • I was using this option correctly and it was actually broken.
  • With the help of this post, it was reported to R&D as SPR 13259094 with Article summary CS354119
  • PTC Plans on fixing in following versions:
    • Creo Parametric 7.0.7.0
    • Creo Parametric 8.0.3.0
    • Creo Parametric 9.0.0.0

online_resources_location
<directory path>
Sets the path to Online Resources. When you click Help > Online Resources, Creo Parametric launches the Online Resources page from the specified location.
The default path is http://www.ptc.com/community/proewf3/newtools/index.htm

That sounds like what I did and it didn't work for me.  Is the custom location working for you?  When I set:

online_resources_location https://community.ptc.com/

 

I see essentially what you sent in your screenshot.  I get to Creo at the moment so cannot send a screenshot of what I am seeing so will try to send a screenshot when I can.
