What is the difference between "references" and "surfaces - chains" in the dialog window that appears when creating or redefining Annotation Features? What are they used for?

Hi @JB_87049

The surfaces collector can also collect individual one-by-one references like the "References" collector, however with the "Surfaces" collector you can leverage advanced rule based surface collection methods like, seed and bounds, loop surfaces etc. This collector as well as the chains collector are mainly there to help the selection process to be quicker and more efficient.

From a semantic POV there should be no difference and references that are collected from either collector should be interpreted the same.
