Drive X Scale of Decal to size of model

Hi all,

I am trying to use a Decal to model the latices of a forster unico profile:

I have managed to create a transparant decal and apply it to the model, but if I resize the model, the decal needs to be resized.

Is there any way to drive the X Scale of a Decal to the size of a model with a relation?
