Excluding items inside patterns and groups

Hello,

I am looking for a fast way to exclude items inside a pattern or group.  This would be applicable for simplified reps or shrinkwraps.  When you create one of these two, Creo opens a separate window that allows you to pick items to exclude.  However, if there is a pattern or group you have to expand all the way down to the part level and shift+select all the parts to exclude them.  This is the case even in the model tree when the rep is active.  Is there an easier way to exclude all parts under an assembly or group?
