Group: Paste-rotate / Pattern-delete-original

I want to rotate an existing group in a part and delete the original.

I tried:

- Paste special and then used the independent option: It's not independent.

- Paste special and then used the advanced option: Cannot simply rotate.

- Tried Pattern: Cannot delete/suppress original.

Is there a simple way to do it?

You could use Flexible Modeling to move the original depending on what your exact needs are.

Without a model to open or, at a minimum, screen shots, it is hard to give specific suggestions.

There is always more to learn.

Hi kdirth,

thanks for the hint. Unfortunately, we don't have Flexible Modeling, only the Creo Design Essentials.

Here is the requested screenshot, I'll specify the task a bit more in detail:

You have a part with all the design Elements in one group.

You want to rotate the part around the axis Y. (The original part should be gone, only the "after-rotation-version" should exist.)

Thanks in advance,

Andy

If you reroute the sketch set up references for extrude 1 you should be able, get what you want without having to delete anything. Using reroute you should be able to change the orientation of the extrude and the children might follow; it depends on the design intent captured in the model.
