help on solidifying pin

Hi Users,

Need help.
Been pulling my hair out on how to accomplish this and am running out of time.
I was trying to cap this part and solidify it.
To me it would not seem like a big deal or am I just ignorant about this task at hand.

You have several issues with the surfaces that need to be fixed
before you can solidify this model.

1. Problem: The large end is open (i.e. does not form an enclosed
surface).
Solution: Sketch a flat surface and merge it to close off the end.
2. Problem: The tip is open (has a very small pinhole at the tip).
Solution: Either sketch a flat surface at the end and merge it, or
do a surface copy of the 2 surfaces at the tip and use the #Options/
#Exclude Surface and Fill Holes option to deselect the edges of the
pinhole. Then, merge this newly copied surface to the other surfaces.
3. Problem: The boundaries of the 4 radii near the tip have a large
gap to their nearest surface. You can try to redefine the imported
surfaces and use #Geometry/#Heal Geometry/#Manual in
order to "zip the gaps", but I would recommend the more
accurate way of deleting these 4 radii surfaces and replacing
them with 4 boundary surfaces, which would of course be
merged with the rest of the surfaces.
4. Hint 1: As the part is saved, it was showing surfaces
and curves all together, which is very confusing. Put
all of the curves on a layer and blank them (or delete them).
What you want to see is only the magenta surfaces. This
way, in wireframe mode you can see where the surfaces
are not merged (which show up as light magenta lines).
5. Hint 2: Just in case it isn't clear, since all of the
surfaces and curves are in 1 import feature, you need
to redefine this feature in order to delete surfaces or
curves. All other features mentioned above would
be new features. In the end I had 20 features, including
the #Solidify feature.
