Hi everyone,

I'm trying to constrain this part to the lines I have sketched. The orientation is important as it needs to fit a main assembley. When I try to click on the lines it wont recognise them as a reference point. any suggestions on how I can use the sketched lines as refrences for assembling the parts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

1st constraint ... select point/vertex in component and make it coincident with point/vertex in assembly

2nd constraint ... select point/vertex in component and make it coincident withm sketch in assembly

There are infinite possibilities on how to constrain relative to this sketch. Please explain the constraint set that you want to impose when using this sketch and you will get better answers.
