Question

How to convert .sec sketches into PDF?

Hello all,

I have encountered a conundrum in Creo 3.0 Academic edition: I cannot figure out how to turn a .sec file I made in Creo Parametric into a PDF file. I cannot import .sec files into a .drw drawing (I apologize for the redundancy), and nothing happens when I try to click on 'Save as' -> 'Export'.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Luca,

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to get the desired result.  There are no options to Save As or Export the *.sec file, to format that can be imported into a PDF.

Thanks,

Amit

Sketcher files (.sec) were never meant to be stand alone files. They are simply a way to get sketches from one model to another or to use standard sketches without having to recreate them.

Simply add your sketch to a part file and then use that part file in a drawing. That is how it works.
