How to create annotation sets in *.ASM with Creo View?

Hello forum,

I got an assembly here in the form of one *.asm and several *.prt files in one folder.

I can view the assembly in Creo View. However, it seems that I cannot modify or create annotation sets. Also, it does not seem to be possible to export the assembly as *.PVZ from Creo View (to then create annotation sets in the PVZ file).

Or is there any other way to create and save annotation sets here?

ok in that case I think your problem is that you are opening the native CAD and Creo View doesn't support saving annotations to the native CAD:

Can you open it in Creo Parametric and save it as a pvz?

Sounds like you are using the Creo View Lite version? I don't know what annotation sets you are trying to modify but it could be possible you need a MCAD license:

No I'm using Creo View MCAD -- which perfectly allows to create (and save!) annotations -- however only on PVZ files and (seemingly) not on *.asm files.
