I have changed the colour of a part and saved it in STP format. But the colour change is not reflecting in the STP file.

What should I do to keep the colour changes in STP format?

Hi,

in https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS22317 document you can see this information:

  • Set config.pro option "step_appearance_layers_groups yes" output of appearance, layers, and groups is enabled for STEP standard AP203
    • User need to set config.pro option step_export_format to ap203_is, ap203_is_ext or ap203_e2
  • Set config.pro option "step_appearance_layers_groups no" output of appearance, layers, and groups is enabled for STEP standard AP214
    • User need to set config.pro option step_export_format to ap214_is
  • Currently there is no setting to export transparency information SPR 6384139
    • Under consideration by product line management. You can vote for this Idea
