How to use configurable product to develop pipe design?

Hello, I have a problem for pipe design,

I use pipe application to create the 3D model normally .
Our systems can used in different industry areas,

Most times we only need to change the brand of those componets, and use same pipe line.

I guess maybe we can use configurable product to make pipe design?

So I can easily add or change the brand.

 

Seems pipe application cant insert configurable product or configurable model.

Would anyone try this before?

My questions are:

Does "Configurable Products"  module compatible with "Piping" module?

Have anyone tried use these two modules in same time before?

And how about the result, feeling good or bad?
