Question

Is there a way to display threads visibly by default—using color or texture, like in real life?

I'm not sure PTC understands the concept of a model. It’s supposed to represent reality in a simplified form — yet PTC simply ignores threads and doesn’t display them at all. A thread should be immediately noticeable, but in Creo I still have to search for them. It’s absurd. Please tell me there’s a solution that doesn’t involve wireframe graphics from the last millennium.

Hi,

you can prepare a mapkey to perform threaded hole, maybe with a new button for threaded hole thar will call the mapkey.

The logic is very simple: after the hole creation you can perform a search of intent surface of the last feature.

Than you can apply the specific appearance for threaded hole.

By this way no manual operation should be needed to represent threaded hole.

Best regards
