Keep the symbol palette open after placing a symbol

Hi all,

We are in CREO 10.0.7.0.

Since Creo 8, we can no longer keep the symbol palette open.

As soon as a symbol is placed, it closes immediately.

I don't recall the symbol palette behaving this way in previous versions.

This seems to be the normal behavior of Creo.

Is there an option to keep it open?

How do you add multiple symbols consecutively without having to reopen the palette from the Annotation ribbon?

Best regards

Dominique

Sounds like you want to use the Repeat Mode. Users can click this button or you can default it to on using the config setting symbol_repeat_mode yes (default is no). There's a similar setting surface_finish_repeat_mode.

You could create a mapkey to open the symbol palette.

Yes, that's one of the possibilities being considered.

But before that, I'd like to know if this behavior is what's expected for Creo.

It was indeed the "symbol_repeat_mode" option that needed to be changed.

Thanks a lot 🙂
