Light wight Assembly /Exporting assembly

Hi,

I created a subassembly that I wanted to export for the top-level assembly. Since the subassembly file size is huge, I can't use it directly in my top-level assembly.

Could you please suggest if there is a way to export the assembly (envelope) parametrically so that I can use it in the top-level assembly?
