What are the practical differences between Always, Read Only, & Only Design Study?
I have a weld fixture on a positioner that handles three parts and I'm trying to figure the cg from rotation for the fixture itself, then one for each of the parts. I'm also trying to do this without using a family table so I can have the dimensions all in one view.

The differences between the regeneration options for mass properties determine how/when they are calculated. In your situation you would want to use the "always" option.

For your stated objective, refer to this previous thread for options on how to calculate and track the COG of your design. If you have BMX, it is less tedious so use that if you have it.
