I have over 30,000 points that I read into a file from these points I need to measure the thickness of a very large complicated part normal to each point. I also need to read out the normal thickness at each point and the location to a spread sheet. Does Creo2 have the capability of doing this and if so how?

Take a look at this discussion :http://communities.ptc.com/message/199198#199198

I think that it would be useful for you.

If I were you I would use Rapidform XOV or Geomagic Qualify Probe for this task.

They are perfect for such kind of work.

And Reverse Engineering Extension from PTC is not suitable for inspection.
