Question

Multiple balloon notes for a flexible component in an assembly

Hello,

Is there a way to make multiple balloon notes in an assembly drawing for flexible components that are used multiple times in an assembly without changing the BOM table attributes to duplicate the lines?

Example would be having 2 extension springs that have the same part number and both are made flexible to stretch in the assembly. Because the assembly is large, the springs are on not on the same page and I would like a balloon note on each spring. However, I can only make one using the ‘Create Balloons’ function and I can not move it from spring to spring.

The work around we have done is to use ‘Annotate > Balloon Note’ but this will not update the number if the assembly were to change.

Does anyone know of how to do this properly?

If you are using quantity balloons, you can use Split Balloon on the table tab.

You can also create a reference BOM balloon.

There is always more to learn.

Is it possible for it to not be a reference BOM balloon?
