Paramettic BOM Ballons for pins

I'd like to create parametric bom ballons for my connector pins. When i try and use the "Create Balloon" feature I get an error message stating "This is not a BOM ballon region."

Have you put a bom table on your drawing? I've attached one if you don't have one.

There are parameters in the BOM table that refer to part parameters (description and material) if you don't have those parameters, that field will be blank. If you have differently named parameters you want to use, edit the first line of the table to your desired parameter name.
