Preview mirrored features

 How can I see mirrored features preview after I select any referance datum,axis , plane etc. When mirroring features , I select the feature first, then when I click any reference, I can not see the position of mirrored feature. I can see those only when I press ok .

I just tested this in Creo 7 and I see the preview prior to mirror feature creation.  Verify the setting of the config option dynamic_preview .

 

Do you see the preview for other feature types when creating them? If so post the model for review as there a multiple possible causes.

    I just can't see preview of mirrored feature , while mirroring. And dynamic_preview didn't work, as well

    To make sure the attempt was thorough, did you try all potential values of the option ie:

    • attached - Displays the geometry as it appears when you finalize the feature.
    • unattached - Displays the outline of the geometry you are defining.
    • no - Displays no preview.

      It depends on the Creo version you're using. Mirror preview has been introduced in Creo 5.0, so if you're working with Creo 4.0 or older release, you won't see any preview during the mirror.

        OK, so my quick test showed me, that mirror preview is not visible, if you set dynamic_preview config option to anything other than attached (so to see mirror preview you must switch dynamic_preview to attached). What's more, even if you switch preview mode while having the part open, it won't be taken into account unless you close and re-open it. If you have dynamic_preview set already to attached, it might be some sort of bug, though.
