Questions about scanning parts???

First off Can anyone share with me a raw scan of a part? Preferably something plastic injection molded. I am interested in the quality of the scan and what is produced off of a raw scan. I am under the impression that when you scan there will be issues with getting down into small bores and such loosing detail. What is the likelihood of a super clean scan of a part like this. Full 3D, both sides, part size roughly 8 x 3.5 x. 75 deep?

My guess is that you will not have more than a 80% chance of getting your
deeper features to turn out correctly.

That looks very interesting, how much does it cost? My company is a bunch of tightwads.

We use CT Scanning to qualify practically every mold we build; scanning parts for FAI, molding process development etc.



There are no concerns that I am aware of in regards to pockets or buried features etc. as the CT Scanning sees accurately right through the plastic part, to all features, and to within microns.



The only limitation you might have is part size, not sure if ProScan can scan a part this size.
