Save Model with Datums Hidden

I would like to save a model with the datums hidden and check the model back into Windchill.  However, just hiding the datums doesn't make the model change and therefore I can't check the model back into Windchill.  I can I accomplish this without making any other changes to the model?

You have to go to the layer tree, right click, and select 'save status'.  That will save the visibility changes and should cause the model to see itself as changed and needing to be saved.
