Hi, I'm cleaning my config.pro file. It has very old options such as this one below which seems to be a hidden one. I didn't find anything related. Anyone knows what this option does ?

Seems to be an option that has been hidden since Creo 1, or at least that's as far back as I can find it. Nowhere do I see anything documenting what it does, though. Perhaps in the long ago STEP file output just created a file and didn't provide a means of setting options? Maybe in the early days of STEP there weren't a dozen or so different standards for STEP?

This option is still available in Creo 11.0.1.0.

I believe it is used to invoke dialogue boxes during the STEP import/export process. Obviously, you can test this by deleting it and importing/exporting a STEP. Hidden config options are usually not officially supported by PTC and are used for internal development purposes. I think you should be able to delete this option without causing any issues. You can always put it back in the config if needed.

Just out of interest I looked further back and this has been hidden since Wildfire, too. Seems like an "orphaned" option. Maybe it doesn't do anything? I don't have it in my config.pro and STEP export works fine.
