Surface from datum points in WF3

I have a set of datum points taken from a table that shows position and height over base ground level.

How can I create a surface through these points?

Did you want a faceted surface or a smooth surface?

For faceted surfaces, you can create a "fill" by picking 3 points, making a closed sketch, and "filling" it. Rinse and repeat! You can merge them to make it a single quilt.

For a smooth representation, depending on the regularity of the point sets, you can make datum cures through a series of points approximately in a line. Create a series of datum curves approximately parallel to each other. Then joint them with a boundary blend.

Thanks to both of you.

Look at attached file.

The green curve is the vertikel projektion of teh sought surface.

The datum points shows the various heights of the sought surface.

I would think that one should first create the surface and then cut it to the green coontours.

Grateful for your help.

Steven,

I could not open the file you uploaded as I am still on WF3.

However, using the advice given, I was able to create the same surface on my system.

Easy, when you know how, is it not?

Many thanks

Bertil
