Unable to use centerline and coordinate system in Creo Parametric 7.0

Question

Does anyone know the reason why the centerline and coordinate system is greyed out in Creo Parametric 7.0?

I'm still relatively new to Creo parametric, but creo does not let me use the centerline when I extrude a surface.

As seen here the options are greyed out.

I've even tried starting a new file but this issue still occurred. I've even tried reinstalling Creo but the problem remained. I've tried looking online for solutions but couldn't find any can anyone please help this is time sensitive since I need to finish this for a school project and I have no one to approach in school to fix this issue.
