WF4 ModelCheck Problem

Hello Pro/E Users

I am having problems with Wildfire 4 M060 to get ModelCheck to load the configuration files from another location. I always get the error "ModelCHECK - Unable to determine loadpt directory.
ModelCHECK is disabled." when running ModelCheck. I tried setting the following:

1.In proe1.psf file - ENV=MCDIR=D:\rle\engineer\modchk\text\usascii

2. In proe1.bat - SET MCDIR=D:\rle\engineer\modchk\text\usascii

3. In user environment variable - MCDIR=D:\rle\engineer\modchk\text\usascii

Note: I copied the entire entire ..\engineer\modchk directory including all subdirectories to D:\rle\engineer\modchk

Does anyone know what can be causing this problem?

David,
here we have only copied the modchk config directory to our company setup
location and set mcdir to point to it in a batch file, but not in the psf
file.

Hello Pro/E users

Thanks for your feedback and support on this issue. I was able to solve the problem by deleting all the modelcheck directories that I copied over to the new location and then just actually copying those directories under the "config" folder which actually contained the files which were different.

It looks like if you copy too many folders or all the modelcheck folders then Pro/E cannot find the ModelCheck loadpoint.

Hello All,

I am new to Creo ModelCHECK  and facing similar issue, I have created new MCDIR and created my own Config files and placed in my MCDIR, but I could not able to load the config options as. Can anyone please help me? Appreciate your help..Also please guide me if any tutorials are available.

Have you set the following config.pro setting:

modelcheck_enabled yes

And according to PTC's article CS57367 ("How to configure ModelCHECK in Creo Parametric") the usage of the environment variable MCDIR was supported until Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 M090.

 

Since Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 M100 you should use following config.pro setting modelcheck_dir instead of the environment variable MCDIR.
