I would like to know when Creo 4.0 beta are available to download.

PTC will release Creo 4.0 during 2016 PTC LiveWorx next month June 6-9, Does it mean after 2016 PTC LiveWorx, PTC will let Creo 4.0 beta download for us test?

Actually, Creo 4 is not supposed to be released until the end of the year.

Hi,

I do not think that PTC release Creo 4.0 beta for public testing.

Like Tom said, Creo 4.0 won't be released until end of the year; if I remember correctly, during LiveWorx there will be a possibility to have a hands-on session with Creo 4.0 beta, there won't be any Creo release that time.

And Martin's right, I don't recall PTC putting any Creo beta version for open public testing, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

F000 releases are the beta versions anything before that is an alpha version.

C000 releases are beta versions in PTC's current convention. The F000 release is considered by PTC to be the first production ready release. The Mxxx releases are to correct bugs in prior builds.

I, and many others, do not put an F000 release into production. With Windchill, I wait for M010 or even later and Creo is usually delayed until M050 or higher.

And where did you get this information that the beta version must be in the public domain?

All,

You are correct regarding F, M, and C but in this case PTC has decided to release Creo 4 in a Beta version in order to get more feedback. Anything created in the Beta version will not be able to be opened in the full version, kind of like the student version.

Please contact your sales rep.

Yes, it has always been during the use of the beta version.
