Barrel Cam Motion Test -02

These are videos I made to simulate a barrel cam I reverse-Engineered from looking at how a particular "cammed over-center" latch worked without being able to actually take it apart.

 

Part -02 showing the trajectories (as if machined) as solids.

 

Sorry it's so simple, but it was my first (and only so far) try using the Mechanism constraints. But, it works, and seemed to be pretty advanced as far as motion goes as the guy presenting a demo on Mechanism didn't have any idea how to do it.

Modeling a barrel cam is something we haven’t mastered yet. Can't seem to keep the follower slot around the circumference a constant width w/ various techniques. Any suggestions?
