Creo 4.0 student ed. Error - "Unable to get required Creo Simulate license."

Hi, I downloaded Creo 4.0 student edition a few days ago and had no problems, I even used it an hour ago and had no problems. I just tried using creo again and when I try to open creo I get the error - "Unable to get required Creo Simulate license. Please contact your sales representative." Haven't found much online so I thought i'd ask here. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

 

I think you cannot launch Creo Simulate as standalone application.

 

Launch Creo parametric, open model and switch to Simulate application on Application tab.

Run reconfigure.exe from Creo Simulate 4.0 loadpoint and make sure the following License type are available

MEC_BASIC_UI MECBASICUI_License
MEC_BASIC_ENG MECBASICENG_License

Hi,

 

just FYI Student licence does not contain any Simulate license.
