Creo free student licence activation error

Hello Creo community,

I have used the Creo 3.0 free student edition for quite a while now on my PC. However, after wiping and reinstalling my PC I'm not able to activate the Creo 3.0 licence. The PC configuration is exactly the same as before. It runs on Windows 10 64-bit.

The error I get is "Fehler: Fehler bei der Lizenzverarbeitung. Bitte wenden sie sich an die PTC Lizenzverwaltung" which would translate to "Error: Error with licence processing. Please contact PTC licence administration"

I tried activating the licence at the installation or after the installation by starting the setup client again and selecting activate licence. Also I tried Windows XP SP3, Vista SP2, 7 and 8 compatibility mode and deactivated windows firewall and avast antivirus. I've ran the setup as administrator.

Anyone got this error before or has an idea how to solve this?
