CREO Simulate - Interpenetrations in results visualization

Hello,

I have a doubt about interpenetrations: in the deformed configuration visualization (in the results window) I see that there is interpenetration between parts even in I defined contact pairs between the involved surfaces and the simulation completed with no particular issue. Could it be a simple matter of visualization or does it mean that for sure something went wrong with the contacts?

Thank you for the help, as usual.

Creo uses a pure penality based method, so there will always be some level of interpenetration present. Zero interpenetration requires a lagrangian based method (pure or augmented). You could tighten the convergence requirement a bit to see how much it changes the results.
