Errors with 3D Contact (cylinder-cylinder): Creo Mechanism

Hello,

I am trying to model a retracting pin which allows a spring loaded mass to drop freely in the z-axis using Creo 8+. However, I keep getting the following error:

"3-D contact in model has encountered an error:
In a cylinder-cylinder contact, the rectangular contact patch is invalid.
This violates contact-patch assumptions related to Hertzian compliant contact
calculations."

As far as I can tell, there is no interference in my model, no erroneous material properties, etc.

I have been using dynamic analysis for this, and the pin is removed using a translation servo motor. The mass is constrained in the x & y by two pin constraints. I do not have friction enabled, nor gravity.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated! I have already tried changing the contact to a point-cylinder & decreasing the contact radius of the point.
