FEM mehcanism in movement

Good moorning, I need to do a FEM in a movement mechanism. It's possible to extract structural data when the mechanism works?

I start the exercici dividing de whole mechanism in some assemblys and analizing them, using simulate. But i don't know how i can join the different assemblys and then apply movement on teh system.

 

Someone can i help me?

I suggest you to use Mechanism to simulate the movement and then import in Simulate (by using the import process from Mechanism to SImulate) the forces/accelerations over each component/body.

 

Simulate can't do an analysis over time like you mean. Other ones can do it like Adams or Recurdyn.

 

But, in my experience, the 95-97% of this analysis may be elaburated with the procedure I've told you, unless you are interested in modal analysis of the assembly with the modal contribution of each component and considering the non-linearity of the connections' play.
