How do I highlight part of a surface with an annotation feature?

Hi

I want to place an annotation feature on a part and when you click it part of a surface should be highlighted.

This is possible if I split the surface first but as the entire surface is coherent I can't use the split surface function as it doesn't support to split with a sketch.

Is there a way to highlight part of a surface or create a split surface using sketches?

Can it be solved in another way?

Best regards

Zacharias

Hi Zacharias,

Are you OK with creating a sketched surface and then selecting that as the annotation feature reference?  You could create a sketch on an existing surface and create a Fill feature to fill in the sketch.  Then you can select just the Fill feature as reference to the Annotation Feature.

Thanks,

Amit
