Question

How do you find Transverse Shear Stress?

Hi, I am trying to find the transverse shear stress (VQ/It) on a beam and graph the results using Creo 2.0.

First, I created idealized beam using a line and added the forces as well as the constraints. I ran the FEA and tried to get the results.

I see different options such as Von Mises, Beam Bending, Beam Torsional Stress etc but I don't see any function to find the transverse shear stress.

Would I be able to get some assistance? Thank you in advance

Hello

I have the same problem with beam idealization, furthermore it seems that the shear stress is not estimated, Von mises stress and beam bending stress are equal!

Did you find a solution for your problem?

Thanks
