Issue using Mapped Mesh

Hi folks,
👇here, my headache... I want to have a fine mesh in a region of this column because I need to insert it into a bigger assembly for a Contact Analysis.
I know that "mapped meah" isn't that kind of mesh control that is passed to higher assembly level, but I want to test here to already know how to mesh it in the higher assembly.
But I don't know why I can't mesh properly.
I also tried to mesh in this manner. It works for the external elements, but I can't be able to make the wedge inside.
Do you have any suggestion?
