Hello all,

We are trying to carry out a structural analysis for a plastic component (material PVC). In material definition, i am going with Elastoplastic and inserting the right properties. At analysis, non-linear analysis is checked and included plasticity.

The component is simple cylindrical bar and loaded with tensile force and constrained at one end.

Please answer the following:

1) Is this approach correct for Plastic component anlaysis?

2) In general, what kind of results (like stress, stran, displacement) will be reviewed for plastic components?

Regards,

Shiva
