As per this thread - same issue

Hi,

I've the same issue and I tried this solution.

It's very strange because with another normal use (on the same workstation) simulate works, with admin user Simulate works but with the firt normal user doesn't works. All other functions of Creo Parametric (6.0.6.0) work without issue.

Is the only solution to format the PC?

Hi,

I am sorry I do not understand your problem description clearly.

If Simulate works well under Adminstrator account then the problem can be caused by insufficient user rights. I think it is not necessary to reinstall Windows.

Simulate doesn't works on the PC with the user "A" --> original user of the PC.

If a add an admin user "X" on this PC --> Simulate works

If a add another normal user "B" on this PC --> Simulate works

Hi,

you can

  • open File Explorer
  • go to %APPDATA% directory (APPDATA = C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming)
  • rename PTC subdirectory
  • start Creo Parametric
  • open part
  • switch to Creo Simulate
