Regenerate failure in Creo Simulate

I am using Creo Simulate Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0

upon start, Creo Simulate will regenerate the model, but copied-geometry seems invisible to Simulate, causing regeneration failure.. One solution i figured out is to right-click on the copied-geometry, change 'update control' to 'manual..', which tentatively solve the problem but isn't a decent solution. Wondering if there are other solutions?
