shadow envelope

Hello,

I use Inspect geometry/Shadow analysis. But now I need to create an envelope of the shadow when the light direction change. Is there any way how to do it or get the envelope geometry? I know I can dynamically update the shadow when I drag light dimension, but I need to change concurrently 2 or 3 dimensions.

 

I use Creo 12

Would you clarify your use of the word envelope in this context?

 

It is possible to save the analysis such the geometric representation of the cast shadow is persistent in your model. The shadow is rendered when the analysis is saved (you can hide the saved analyses).

hi,

envelope, I mean when you sum all the shadows as the light change direction. Something like Motion Envelope in mechanism module.

e,g. Imagine  chimney on the roof and you want to place solar panels outside the chimney shadow during day. The shadow move during day so I need to sum all the shadows, or at least get countour (envelope) of the shadows combined.
