Question

Strings and Automaton simulation

Hi all,

I am trying to make a simple automaton that ties a knot.

As you can imagine knots are not 2D but 3D puzzles that requires visual representations to solve.

I was wondering if Creo has a string that can be pulled and twisted (like a pre-defined object).

If not, what alternatives do you suggest?
thanks in advance.

3D curves are normally created with datum curves. You can also create 3D curves with two intersecting planar curves. I would suggest a clever point array that can be manipulated and use the points to generate a datum curve.

Generally, PTC doesn't provide "toys" in their software. They leave it up to us to make fun stuff
