Testing nonlinear functionality in Creo 2.0

Hi to everybody.

I'll be very grateful to you if somebody can help me to set-up and run this simulation.

We're talking about a hook and a static simulation of tensile test. Body is an half due to simmetry. Load is 4 tons (on an half). Shank hook is restrained. I want to check behavior of this hook when subjected to 16 ton (on a half). Experimental test show that there is large deformation, but load is hold and there is no crack. Attached pictures of setup and complete .prt file for simulation.

Thank you.

Hello, Mauro

Were you able to find a solution to your problem of non-linearity.

Is there a database where you can find "steel_properties", or other materials already made.

As the basis of PTC, but more complete material.

I know that we can create, but could be adapted.

Cordially.
