Arbortext layout editor

Hello,

 

I just wanted to ask regarding Arbortext layout editor. Is this a standalone software or does it work when you install Arbortext editor? Upon checking the software download tab I only see the Arbortext  editor and no Arbortext layout editor.

That's the idea, Stephen

It isn't always possible to 100% automate some layouts. Arbortext Layout Editor gives you the opportunity to format XML content to 95% of your requirements, and then edit the formatting of a page to achieve the final 5%.

Hi Stephen

Arbortext Layout Editor is unrelated to Arbortext Editor, but closely related to Arbortext Layout Developer. It is a simplified version of Layout Developer, with the 'developer' parts restricted. The intention is to provide a 'document finishing' application for Layout Developer users who only want to make finishing touches to a publication before printing.

    I see I see. So correct me if Im wrong, after my XML formatting and tags i enter it in layout to fix the format of the page itself?
