Question

Auto filename in PDF-publications (PTC Arbortext Editor 8.2.2.0 with Styler)

Hi, ptc Community.

I have an XML document in a CMS repository.

Is there a way to set a prefix to the filename of the PDF pubblicated locally by ArborText via File->Publish->PDF?
I have some document attributes, as language and version, that I would like to set automatically to be inserted in the name without changing it manually each time a PDF is published in that way.

Thanks in advance.

Arbortext is very customisable. You could create your own menu items, buttons, or keyboard shortcuts. For example you could have a custom publish button that does the publishing then renames the file automatically. This is achieved with ACL (Arbortext Command Language), which is fully documented in the Arbortext Help Center.
