Automatic ID assignment in Arbortext
Does Arbortext automatically assign any ids to elements within topics or can it be configured to do so?
A conversion company might be able to help you. We converted a bunch of Word files to Arbortext, and the conversion company used the outline numbering to assign IDs to headings. For example, 1.4.2.17 heading text generated the ID X2-1.4.2.17.
You're probably looking for something more automated, where an ID is automatically created to uniquely identify an Arbortext object, but maybe this might help.
