Caret PI placement and offsets

Hello adepters!

I am looking for any insight into Pub Caret positioning please.


Q1

Did/can Editor (6.1 M010) save the PI within a line of text, or has it always saved it at the end of the element with an offset? (I thought i had seen this happening in the past)


Want:

Green offset from OID of second =8

But this maybe completely wrong!?



Any ideas much appreciated.

    PS: There are more long winded ways to get what i need if not using 'write' like callbacks on saving and manually inserting this PI at the required position, but would be nice if there was an easier option i've missed!

    If anyone was looking at something similar, i ended up ditching this alltogether in favour of an oid context + offset direction, proved much better! 😉
